The dambusters
A Lancaster bomber with a crew brave and bold,
carrying out their duty exactly as they'd been told.
Now 65 years later we give homage to these men,
courage and bravery that we will never be see again.
2 Dams to destroy, that was their secret mission,
firepower and courage combined with precision.
The one surviving Pilot Squadron Leader Les Munro,
knows exactly what happened, he's the one in the know.
The Lancaster's mission was codenamed operation Chastise,
they carried the bouncing bomb which was quite small in size.
The bombs bounced down, the Ruhr Valley in 1943,
causing damage to both power plants and vital industry!
